Postcard - Coromandel Peninsula

My partner and I escaped Auckland over Waitangi weekend. We started off bright and early. By mid morning we arrived at the beautiful little coastal town of Onemana. Stretching our legs we wandered the beach, admiring the crystal clear waters. Jumping back in the car we made our way back up the main road and after a few k's we turned off into the forest. We followed the gravel road for what felt like forever before reaching a tiny car park. Armed with towels and a picnic we hiked down through the pine trees to the beach.

The hike was worth it.
